The Excellent Student Camp of College of Comparative Law concluded successfully from 1 to 4 July, 2017. After a strict selection, 32 outstanding students from 25 prominent universities such as Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Nanjing University and Nankai University joined the camp.

The schedule of the camp is various, including opening ceremony, cultural events, exchange meeting between faculty and students and written and oral examination.

On 1 July, all students enrolled and attended the opening ceremony that was organized by the University. Vice-President Prof. Ma Huaide presented remarks on the ceremony and wished all students to gain some achievement during the camp time. On behalf of the whole of last year’s university camp members, Ms. Zhang Qiulin, who won the title of Outstanding Camper of the College, shared her experience with the audiences.

On the morning of 2 July, the students exchanged with the College faculties. Associate Dean of the College & Director of the Sino-German Law Institute Prof. Xie Libin moderated the meeting. Associate Dean & Secretary of Party Branch Wang Fang, Director of the Comparative Law Institute Wang Zhihua, Director of the China-America Law Institute Liu Chengwei, Director of the Institute of European Law Zhang Tong and teacher representatives attended the meeting. Associate Dean Xie Libin introduced the history and current status of the College, and specifically introduced the training mode and international feature of the College. Alumni representatives Mr. Wang Pei (class of 2017, Sino-German Law), Ms. Liu Luqiao (class of 2013, Sino-American Law) and Ms. Xu Jianbo (class of 2015, National Laws-Italy) shared their studying experiences with the camp members.

On 3 July, Associate Dean Xie Libin and directors of each research Institute of the College brought the students to several culture events. They visited the College’s cooperative partner the German Academic Exchange Center (DAAD), the College’s teaching and practicing partner the Wulfing Zeuner Rechel Group Beijing Office, the Supreme People’s Court of PRC.

On the afternoon of 2 July  and morning of 4 July, after the written and oral examination, several students were selected as Outstanding Camper.
