The College launched a series of activities to welcome year 2022 entering students from 29 August to 1 September, 2022. In light of the actual situation of the University and the College as well as in accordance with the requirements of pandemic prevention and control, the College carried out an orientation week to welcome new students, including the enrollment, the temporary conveners' meeting of new students, the teacher-student meeting, the fresh-senior student meeting and the orientation for new students.

Under the leadership of the administrative office, the College Student Union set up a 'one-stop' orientation booth in the hall of the ground floor of the Research Building on 29 August, organizing the new students to complete the enrollment process in an orderly manner in accordance with steps including ID verification, materials receiving and materials distribution.

On the morning of 30 August, the College held a temporary conveners' meeting of new students in Room 205 of the Comprehensive Building. Dean of the College Xie Zhiyong, Chair of the College Council Wang Fang, Director of the College Administrative Office Liu Ming, Staff Sun Yang and Zhou Fangzheng, as well as the temporary conveners from each class of the 2022 entering students attended the meeting. The teachers introduced the activities of the Orientation Week to the conveners to ensure the success of the activities.

The College then held a meeting between teachers and new students on that afternoon. Each institute organized educational activities for their students and introduced the characteristics of the institutes in detail. The teachers interacted and exchanged with the new students and answered their questions during the meeting.

On the morning of 31 August, the SU held an online exchange meeting for new and old students. Four year 2020 entering students Li Qihan, Zhai Runjing, Ke Zixin and Lu Jiarun were invited to share their experience in study, life, internship and employment with the new students. Li Qihan introduced study planning, examination taking for certain certificates and internship acquiring. Zhai Runjing shared his internship and school life, especially the main contents of the modules in year-one study in detail. Ke Zixin talked about the international programmes of the college, campus life and how to find internship resources. Lu Jiarun introduced the intern experience, essay writing, study life and career choice.

On the afternoon of 1 September, the orientation for new students was held online. Director of the Administrative Office Liu Ming, Deputy Director Li Li, Student Tutor Yang Mingquan, Staff Sun Yang and Zhou Fangzheng, as well as the whole of year 2022 entering students attended the meeting. Liu Ming moderated the meeting. Firstly, Sun Yang introduced in detail the College's training program as well as the selection of modules and other requirements. Li Li then introduced the College's international programs with the US, Germany, Australia and other countries. After that, Liu Ming introduced in detail the German exchange program and other specific work. Finally, Yang Mingquan presented a detailed explanation on student and Party affairs.
The Orientation came to a successful conclusion after the series of activities.
