Opening Ceremony of Foreign Law Ascertaining and Research Centre of CUPL & First Foreign Law Ascertaining High-End Forum held

The Opening Ceremony of the Foreign Law Ascertaining and Research Centre of CUPL & the First Foreign Law Ascertaining High-End Forum was held on Xueyuanlu Campus of CUPL on the afternoon of 19 Jan, 2015.



The Deputy President of the Supreme People's Court Justice He Rong and President of CUPL Professor Huang Jin opened the Centre and presented remarks. Then, Luo Dongchuan, Chief Judge of the Fourth Civil Division of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China (Civil Division No.4), hosted the awarding ceremony for the first batch of experts of the centre. He Rong and Huang Jin co-awarded the appointment letters to the twenty experts.



Following the ceremony, the First Foreign Law Ascertaining High-End Forum was held. Dean of the College of Comparative Law & Director of the Foreign Law Ascertaining and Research Centre of CUPL Prof. Gao Xiang moderated the meeting.



Dean of the Faculty of Law of University of Macau Prof. Mo Shijian, Judge Chen Jizhong from the Civil Division No. 4, CEO of Shenzhen Benchmark Chambers Intentional Ms. Xiao Jingli, Dean of School of International Law of CUPL Prof. Kong Qingjiang, Dean of School of International Law of Southwest University of Political Science & Law Prof. Zhang Xiaojun, Prof. Chen Weizuo from Tsinghua University School of Law, Dean of the School of Law of University of International Business and Economics Prof. SHI Jingxia, Associate Dean of School of International Law of CUPL Prof. Huo Zhengxin and Prof. Chen Jingshan from the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School of CUPL presented speeches on the theories and practices on the ascertaining of foreign laws.



After the forum, on behalf of the College, Dean Gao Xiang and the CEO of Shenzhen Benchmark Chambers Intentional Ms. Xiao Jingli signed a cooperative agreement.
