CEO of TransLegal Company from Sweden Mr. Michael Lindner and its China Ceo Ms. Xu Shiyuan visited the College of Comparative Law on the afternoon of 28 Nov, 2014.

Dean of the College Prof. Gao Xiang, Associate Director Ms. Ouyang Chenhong and Ms. Fan Jingyi from the University Library and student representatives attended the meeting.

Dean Gao first introduced CUPL's and the College's achievements on teaching, research and international exchanges. Mr. Lindner then gave a detailed report on the establishment and function of TransLegal Law Dictionary. The two parties discussed the content of th ecooperation agreement between TransLegal and CUPL after the report. The agreement was introduced by A/Prof. Xu Yan from the College. It includs co-establishing TransLegal Law Dictionary (Chinese to English) and sharing Cambridge University law courses database.

The TransLegal Company is now selecting one university specializing in law from each of major language countries all around the world to develop a project on building TransLegal Law Dictionary from all major languages to English. The China University of Political Science and Law is the only higher education institution it has chosen from Mandarin spoken area.
