Leading by the First Secretary of Political Division of German Embassy in China Dr. Georg Schulze Zumkley, the German Young Diplomats Delegation visited the Sino-German Institute of Law accompanied by the Deputy Director of Germany Division of European Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Mr. Qin Junfeng and his colleagues on the afternoon of 20 Nov, 2014.
The members of the delegation included 9 young diplomats from Germany embassies and consulates in China, the U.S, France, Japan, Burma, the German Chancellery and the German Foreign Ministry.
The Dean of the Institute A/Prof. Xie Linbin and German side Dean Prof. Marco Haase met with the delegation and held a symposium. Teaching faculty and student representatives were also present.
The meeting focused on the Present and the Future of China's Rule of Law. Dean Xie Libin first gave a brief introduction to the great progress of China's rule of law during last 30 years, and explained the idea of 'constructing the socialist legal state' to the dignitaries. Then the two parties held a discussion in-depth on the issues of the bulletin of the 18th Plenary Session of the 4th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, anti-corruption and reform of the electoral system.
