The College of Comparative Law held a second mock job interview for year 2024 graduating students who applied for different levels of Civil Servant Examination to enhance their interview skills on Xueyuanlu Campus on the afternoon of 28 Feb, 2024.

Student Tutor Zhou Fangzheng attended the event. Two teachers from a training institution for the National Civil Servant Examination were invited to be the judges. Each procedure of the mock interview followed the instructions of the interview session of the national and Beijing regional examination for 2023 admissions to the civil service. 5 graduating students participated in the rehearsal.

This activity simulated a structured interview in a real-life environment. Before the interview, the students drew lots for grouping and entered the room one by one. They were allowed to sit aside in silence to observe and learn from other interviewees after finishing their own. The real interview scene let the students get into the game quickly, which achieved the goal of this mock interview.

The judges provided each interviewee with in-detail commentaries and suggestions on the improvement of their appearance and responses to the questions. After all the interviews, the judges summed up the overall performance of the students, made a key reminder of major common problems, and encouraged the students to go to the examination room with confidence and play their best game.

After the event, the students' feedback was that they benefited a lot from the participation and would practice more in accordance with the advice and strive to give the best performance in the formal interview.
