DaF test-taking experience exchange meeting held

The College of Comparative Law held the DaF Test-Taking Experience Exchange Meeting online, mainly sharing German learning experience, learning methods and test preparation, on the evening of 14 June, 2023.


Chen Dandan, Li Qianqian and Huang Zhijie, three year 2021 entering students, were invited to share their experience.



Li Qianqian introduced her own experience in preparing for the test, the whole arrangement for reviewing, reviewing methods of reading, listening, speaking and writing, as well as the introduction the exam room in Beijing Foreign Studies University. She also introduced how to expand vocabulary, how to practice authentic and mock questions and how to accumulate materials for writing, and added some points for attention in taking the exam at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.


Starting from the learning process that the students care about most, Chen Dandan introduced her own views on German, the process of learning German, and how she prepared for the exam. She recommended German study materials, the use of Bilibili website, WeChat public accounts, Daily German Listening, German newspapers and other ways to cultivate language sense and promote German learning.


Huang Zhijie suggested the students to read textbooks and news to improve reading ability and to insist on listening and writing exercises to improve listening and writing ability. At the same time, she stressed that students should keep their own pace of learning as the best way to learn is the way that suits oneself.


During the Q&A session at the end of the meeting, the speakers gave targeted answers to the questions that the students encountered in the process of learning German. They encouraged the students to listen to other people's suggestions more and to explore their own methods and persevere in the study of German and it would be fruitful soon.


This exchange enhanced the students’ confidence in learning German, while broadening their vision and helping them to be more determined to pass the test.
