CCL students attend CUPL Postgrad Games

The Fifth CUPL Postgrad Games was opened in the basketball court of Xueyuanlu Campus on the morning of 29 Oct, 2023, and the student delegation of the College competed in individual and group games.



The opening ceremony of the Games was presided over by Jia Haixiang, Director of the University's Physical Education Department. Vice President Lu Chunlong of the University delivered the opening speech, calling on all teachers and students to actively participate in various sports, cultivate tenacious and hard-working spirit, and form a social ethos of unity, cooperation and fair competition, and wished the games a complete success. President Ma Huangde then declared the Games open.


Although it turned cold and the autumn wind rustled at the end of October, the enthusiasm of the delegation was not dampened. The students fought bravely for the lead, showing a unique style of youth.


The morning competition was mainly individual events, including single jump of rope skipping, shot, shuttlecock kicking and standing long jump. 19 students Shi Haiteng, Mou Shuxin, Liu Yiman, Wang Songjie, Yan Ruyue, Liang Baozhen, Dong Jiaqi, Xie Siqi, Lin Hongwei, Shen Baolin, Hou Xiaolin, Ren Tianpeng, Rong Chengjie, Tang Sai, Mo Qingwen, Bian Xiaoai, Qiu Zhaohui, Zhao Luyao and Chen Du participated in the individual competition. They tried their best in the games, showing the unique style of the College’s athletes. Among them, Chen Du won 3rd place in women's standing long jump, Cai Zhenyu got 8th place in men's standing long jump, and Liang Baozhen got 8th place in men's single jump of rope skipping. Hou Xiaolin won the 1st place in the women's shot.



The collective one-legged jumping relay, the collective rope skipping, crossing the river by feeling the stones and the collective tug-of-war were held in the afternoon. Wu Ran, Bian Xiaoai, Li Yu, Wu Yi, Cai Zhenyu, Chen Qishan, Wang Songjie and Liu Honglin took part in the relay, and got the 2nd place in the men's group and the 1st place in the women's.



Head of chief referee Li Chen announced the overall score of the games at 15:30 pm, in which the College delegation made the fifth. Lu Chunlong presented awards to the top six winning organisations. Jia Haixiang then declared the closing of the Games.
