The State Administration for Market Regulation of the P.R.C issued the Notice on the Composition of the Third China Standardization Expert Committee (STMR 2023, No.1) on 6 Jan, 2023, marking the completion of the change of leadership of the Committee. Professor Liu Jingwei from the College of Comparative Law was re-appointed as a member of the third China Standardization Expert Committee for a term of five years.
The China Standardization Expert Committee is an advisory body in the field of standardization approved and established by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China. The main functions of the committee are to provide advice and recommendations on standardized development strategies, planning and major reform and innovation policies, to provide final opinions on the China Standard Innovation Contribution Award and to provide advice and suggestions for the implementation of major standardization programmes and projects. It is a high-end think tank in the field of national standardization.
The third China Standardization Expert Committee consists of 95 members, including 20 advisers and 75 members. Wu Hequan, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and former vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is the chairman.
