Prof. Eric S. Janus, President and Dean of William Mitchell College of Law, gave a lecture on Characteristics of the American Legal System and American Legal Education to the students on Xueyuanlu Campus yesterday afternoon. The lecture was moderated by Associate Dean of College of Comparative Law Prof. Lin Lin, Associate Prof. Wang Chang also attended it.

Prof. Janus first gave a brief introduction to basic features of American legal system and presented a comparison of statutory law and common law. Then, he analyzed the characteristics of American legal education, including terms of study, degrees and career choices. He also introduced the ongoing cooperative LL.M program between William Mitchell and CCL.
