Dr. Huang He from the College of Comparative Law attended the German-Chinese Criminal Procedure Legal High-End Forum at Law School of Universityof Wurzburg in Germany on 16-17 Dec, 2016.
At the invitation of Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Bernd Schünemann from Law School of University of Munich and Prof. Dr. Eric Hilgendorf from Law School of University of Wurzburg, the Hornourary Dean of Procedural Law Institute and Tenured Professor of CUPL Prof. Chen Guangzhong conducted a delegation of well-known criminal procedure experts to attend the Forum, and Dr. Huang He was the delegation secretary.
During the two-day conference, the scholars from China and Germany had a wide discussion on Various Patterns of Criminal Procedure, Protection of Human Rights in Criminal Procedure, Principle of Fair Trial and Criminal Justice Reform. Dr. Huang presented his paper the Reform of the People Jury System in Criminal Procedure in China in German, and obtained the German experts’ high approbation.
Apart from that, at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Klaus Boers from the Criminology Institute of University of Minster, Dr. Huang gave a lecture on Crime and Penalty Practice in China to the students on campus in German on 20 December. At the beginning of the lecture, Dr. Huang introduced the College of Comparative Law to the audiences and welcomed students to exchange at the College when possible. He also had a nice interaction with the German scholars after the lecture, deepening the academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities.
