The Symposium on Taxation Coordination of Both Sides of Taiwan Strait was held on Xueyuanlu Campus on the afternoon of 8 Dec, 2015. The meeting was hosted by the Institute of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Law of College of Comparative Law of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), and organized by project teams of "Research on Tax Law Coordination Mechanism of Both Sides of Taiwan Strait" and "Self-ruling and Development: Research on Macao Legal System Reform under Regional Integration". Up to 30 dignitaries with academic, governmental and practical background from mainland China, Taiwan and Macao attended this meeting.
Director of the Institute of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Law of College of Comparative Law A/Prof. Xu Yan moderated the meeting. Dean of the College Prof. Gao Xiang presented opening remarks.
Ms. Zhang Jin from the State Taxation Administration, A/Prof. Huang Shizhou and A/Prof. Cai Mengyan from National Taipei University of Business and A/Prof. Weng Yaowu from School of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law of CUPL made a report during the first session. Assistant to the Dean of School of Taxation of Central University of Finance and Economics A/Prof. Cao Mingxing and Deputy Director of Law and Assessment Center of CUPL Prof. Liang Yongwen provided comments.
During the second session, Dr. Wang Qingyang from University of Macau, Dr. Wang Yeyu from Shanghai Jiaotong University, A/Prof. Xiao Jing from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Mr. Yuan Guanyu from Deloitte Beijing presented their reports. A/Prof. Bai Xiaofeng from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and Mr. LiuJinmin from Jingsh Law Firm made a comment.
Director of Department of Research of CUPL Prof. Shi Zhengwen reviewed the Cooperation Agreement on Avoiding Double Taxation and Enhancing Taxation Cooperation between Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait, and presented a summary of the conference on the closing ceremony.
