Dean of Maurer School of Law IU visits CCL

Dean of Maurer School of Law of Indiana University (IU) Prof. Austen Parrish and IU's China Gateway Office Manager Mr. Steven Yin visited the College of Comparative Law on the morning of 21 October, 2015.

Dean of the College Prof. Gao Xiang met with the delegation on Xuyuanlu Campus. Associate Dean Prof. Lin Lin, Director of China-American Law Institute Prof. Liu Chengwei, Deputy Director A/Prof. Feng Kai, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Sciences Dr. Wang Zhuhao attended the meeting.

Dean Gao Xiang extended the warmest welcome to Dean Austen Parrish on behalf of the College. He said that the two institutions has been connected for long. Since the cooperation agreement between the two parties was signed in 2010, the College of Comparative Law has sent several teaching faculty and students to exchange and study at Maurer School of Law, resulting in satisfying achievements.

Dean Parris claimed that the cooperation so far has been mutual beneficial, he also spoke highly of the quality of the exchange students that were sent to the IU.

Associate Dean Lin Lin of the College put forward a number of suggestions on how to expand and deepen the cooperation. Then, the two parties discussed on the issues of co-organizing summer school and international conference, and later reached an agreement on co-hosting exchange programs during winter vacation.
