The Sino-German Institute of Law of College of Comparative Law, the Institute of Constitution Law of School of Law of CUPL and Friedrich Ebert Foundation co-organized the 5th Sino-German Constitution Law Forum in Beijing on 6 Sept, 2014. The theme of this years'conference was Division of Legislative Jurisdiction.
Dignitaries from German side were Judge the German Constitution Court Prof. Dr. Reinhard Gaier, the Counselor of German Embassy Legal and Consular Office Mrs. Ankel Schlimm and the leaders of Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Experts and scholars from China University of Political Science and Law(CUPL), People's University of China, Beijing University, Tsinghua Univerisy and other 10 major universities as well as representatives from legislative and judicial authorities attended the event.
The symposium focusedon the division of legislative jurisdiction between central and local, the divisionof legislative jurisdiction between legislature and administration, and the distinction of legislative jurisdiction and authority for the interpretation.
Vice-President Prof. Li Shuzhong of CUPL and Mrs. Ankel Schlimm presented the opening remarks. Representative of Friedrich Ebert Foundation Sven Schwersensky and Director of Constitution Law Institute of CUPL Prof. Yao Wenjian made a closing speech.
