Fordham Law delegation visits CCL

Delegation of the School of Law of Fordham University from the U.S. came to visit the College of Comparative Law on 18 March, 2014. Dean of the College Prof. Gao Xiang and Associate Dean Prof. Lin Lin met with Dean of the School Prof. Michael Martin, Associate Dean Prof. Toni Fine and Director of Graduate and International Studies Prof. Thomas Lee on Xueyuanlu campus.

Dean Gao first welcomed the second visit of the delegation, and then introduced the developing history, faculty setting and recruitment of the College. Dean Martin commended highly CCL's achievement in recent years, while Associate Dean Fine introduced their new master's programs. Associate Dean Lin later reviewed on the conduction of two schools' cooperating programs.

The cooperation agreement of the College of Comparative Law and Fordham Law School was signed on 2007. Based on the items in agreement, the two parties discussed new possibilities of student exchange program; For example, the students sent by CCL, who finished an exchange term at Fordham, will be allowed to apply for the Fordham LL.M. program and their credits from exchange program would count towards their LL.M. degree. The parties reached agreement on the particulars of a summer program and short-term law course.

After the meeting, Associate Dean Lin moderated Prof. Lee's lecture to CUPL students on the U.S. Class Action Device.
