China University of Political Science and Law held the appointment and welcome ceremony for Professor E. Eugene Clark on Xueyuanlu Campus on the afternoon of 14 November, 2012. Prof. Clark is CUPL's first recipient of the Recruitment Program of Foreign Experts ('1000 Experts Project'). The ceremony was moderated by the Dean of the College Prof. Gao Xiang.

President Huang Jin, on behalf of the University, extended welcome to Prof. Clark for joining in CUPL through national program and officially awarded him CUPL appointment letter.

Prof. Clark expressed that it is his honor to become the first CUPL foreign expert admitted into the Recruitment Program for Foreign Experts. "For the purposes of promoting China's economy, society and culture, by implementing the program, Chinese government manifested its foresight and wisdom to attract global talents," He said: "As a member of CUPL, I have conducted researches on electronic commerce law, the law on Internet and other areas, and would do my best to collaborate with other faculty members to promote CUPL's presence and academic influence internationally."
