The academic monograph Research on the Private Law Effect of Standards, as the result of the Research on the Private Law Effect of Standards (Project No.19BFX117), a major project of the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) presided over by Prof. Liu Jingwei from the College, was recently published by the Xiamen University Press as one of its Standards and the Rule of Law Series.

The book contains about 235,000 words and six chapters, including Standards in the Legal Field of Vision, Private Law Effect of Standards, Standards and Contract Law, Standards and Tort Law, Standards and Consumer Protection and Case Study of Private Law Effect of Standards.

Based on the practice of standardisation and the practice of civil legislation and judicature in the country, the book systematically analyses the influence and effect of standards on private law. It is a book with academic originality in the research field of the relationship between standards and rule of law. This book is of great reference value for the correct application of standards in civil trials.
