At the invitation of Jacques Beglinger, head of the Swiss Secretariat of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), Lecturer Jiang Feng'an from the Institute of European Law of the College gave a seminar on the EU Digital Regulations to the students at the Europa Institute of Leiden University online and on-site on 26 April, 2023.
Jiang analysed the key points of EU-China digital policy from the perspective of comparative law. On this basis, he introduced the perspective of international law and discussed the interaction between digital legislation and negotiations under the multilateral framework of WTO and regional frameworks such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the Digital Economic Partnership Agreement (DEPA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Finally, he explored the outlook for deepening cooperation between China and the EU in the field of digital economy, and answered the students' questions.
